The fundamental attribution error is the tendency to attribute the behavior of others to dispositional factors while attributing one's own behavior to situational factors. Someone drives faster they must be a nut or crazy. Quick call 911! I drive fast well I have a good reason. I need to be somewhere fast. It's an emergency. Someone drives slower. They must be an idiot & need their license revoked, chopped into cilantro pieces and thrown into an incinerator. I drive slow. I have engine problem. Folks why do we do this?
