These two are the basic, which means the are the prerequisite of other courses, which means you have to take them before taking other courses. That dosn't mean those courses are easy.

if your overall GPA passed the requirement, then don't worry about it. Actually, before kick out, there is probation, which will give you chance to upgrade, if u still can't make the GPA, then it's kick out.
