RIMM CEO 只拿一块钱工资

这个怎么也得赞一下。

nortel的ceo们属于沉船之前的老鼠，吃一口算一口，最后的疯狂。
 
看来还有点戏，至少这人不是冲着捞钱去的,比北电的MIKE Z强多了；RIM搞成这样挺可惜的；希望能浴火重生。

Whatever is wrong at Research In Motion Ltd., it’s not something that’s going to be fixed by turning the two top executives into $1-a-year men.

Of all the corporate moves open to the BlackBerry maker and its board, one would rank cutting the pay of co-CEOs Mike Lazaridis and Jim Balsillie at the bottom of the list with a negative rating under the headline “Cosmetic diversion.”

There have been calls for heads to roll at RIM in the wake of the company’s stock price crash and its continuing inability to turn around Canada’s tech champion. The $1 compensation announcement does little more than suggest to shareholders that the company is indeed in the wrong hands.

It’s not the money, obviously. The last report I could find shows the twin CEO’s each took home compensation of $1.2-million a year. Saving $2.4-million isn’t what RIM needs to turn the company around. It’s losing market share at an alarming rate, new product rollouts are falling behind and the company’s stock is at disturbing levels.

大胆想象一下哈，把中层干部（manager to VP)先裁70%，从前Nortel干部们开始吧。这样也许RIM还有救。
当然，这种事不会发生在加拿大的，在中国也许会。
