在Toronto得了一个ticket，怎么办？

当时是weekday，车停在Royal Ontario Museum 路旁，有码表，付费的收据也放在dashboard上，但还是得了一张罚单。罚单上的说明是："did commit the parking infraction of (Code No. 8) STAND SIGNED HIGHWAY DURING PROHIBITED (TIMES/DAYS)."

该如何处理？不知能否写信说明情况，并附上付费的收据作为证据？谢谢！！

I don't think that works. In downtown Ottawa, during rush hours, you cannot park at pay meter parking spot. (I was lucky two years ago someone told me and pointed me to some sign which says during xyz hours, you cannot park your there). Unfortunately you did the same when you were in Toronto, and in Toronto, nobody bothers to tell you you cannot park during those hours.

我也不是高峰时间停的。中午12点多停到下午3点多。罚单的时间是2点多。

有很多地方可能不允许你停那么久。

当然你的罚单上说得很清楚：

Call them and give some explanation and they may waive your ticket. Worth a trial.
