几家欢乐几家愁，今天好像IB program发榜

If you care to check, most of canada's private high schools have IB program. This also tells you sth.

Now you can get IB from colonel by for free - if you kids are willing to face some challenges and can be admitted, it is great opportunity for them. If they do not like it later on for whatever reason, they can always drop. Like gates, he still chose to go to harvard.

Do canadian students or parents care about IB or higher academic achievement? Of course they do. Just most of them did not have the capability to get that.
If your kids can have the similar high caliber on sports, then they will show great respect to us chinese on higher academic achievement.

Sports... Do football, soccer, volleyball, swimming, ... count?

It would also be a plus if you can play a few musical instruments. ;-)

相当年，俺儿子被录用，俺美的不得了，可现在读麦大，成绩也好不到哪去，俺觉得都是大部分家长的问题，跟俺当年一样。

IB在我那年代已火了(只知多倫多), 这里被茉莉扇扇风也更火啦, 兒子能在IB生存得好當然不容易, 值得引以为傲我一个同学當時只考虑IB或UTS, 她gifted 成绩極好, 家長是医生, 后来也入了医科,
IB 好象少林寺, 要有资質和肯捱苦, 真有很多半途drop out

对孩子要多鼓励，帮助他实现自己的理想。他只要毕业了，就不会差。人的一生长着呢。
