Costco BlueStar 30" Gas Stove

Have anyone purchased BlueStar 30" gas stove from Costco? If so, please share your opinion. Are the three 15,000 BTU good enough for Chinese cooking? Or it is better to get the expensive one with 22,000 BTUfrom CA Paradis? Thank you.

I purchased one BlueStar 30" gas stove from Costco last summer. But I think there are three elements with 22.000 BTU. I am not sure. I'll check. Anyway, it is very good. Just hard to clean.

Are you happy with the gas stove you bought from Costco? I thought the Costco one has only up to 15,000 BTU.



We went to check out the stove at C.A. Paradis and it was $4995 before tax!

Sorry for reply late. I just found out that three of the four element are only 15,000 BTU. But I am happy with the gas stove. It is fast enough for me to cook.

15000btu的炉子不算高，所以着个价格我认为一般。最好上更高的，比如>18000的。

How do you find your new stove? Does it worth the money you paid?



What about the oven? Bluestar has only one button ... nothing like bake, roast, or broil. I heard gas oven is not as good as electric.

据xx大师傅说，burner有sealed和non-sealed的。。non-sealed火力不均匀，清洁起来也费劲，但是灰常适合wok炒菜。。

Costco以前卖的18000 BTU的是non-sealed，这个15000的估计也是。。:blink:

俺这个不是sealed，是direct burner。星状，火直接上来。所以即使只有15000 BTU也比普通sealed burner更高BTU的火力大。朋友家有个Electrolux, 18000 BTU的炉头还不如我们那个15000 BTU的炉头给力呢。

BlueStar用的是cast iron，也就是铸铁架子，非常好清洁，装模作样地擦擦就好，反正需要油。炉头下面有个接水的大盘子，可以拉出来。每个炉头的架子也可以拿下来擦，从来没洗过，省得生锈。

Worth every penny!
很少用烤箱，风扇噪音大，也不显示温度。我们家烤箱是当碗架子用的。
但是BlueStar售后服务很差。两个小毛病花了大半年才马马虎虎地修好，一次一次耽误我们时间！
