旧厨房改造

建房的时候把一部分coutertop/cabinet空间用于pantry room， 结果觉得coutertop不够用。 想稍微改改， 加一个cabinet（厨房从n shape 改为 G shape). Cabinet最好不换，countertop换成石头的，而且可能的话coutertop深度加宽，大于cabinet深度（不知道可行性如何？） sink也更新下。 这样的改造应该从哪里找些design idea呢？ 有没有好的contractor推荐？

About 10x12 excluding a small dining area...

That sounds like a minimum-20k work.............

Has not even thought about cost yet. I look at the bright side: still cheaper and a lot less hassle than buying and moving to a new house.

10x12 is good size kitchen if not counting in breakfast area yet. to change it to a G shape you might eat in some space in your breakfast area.

这也是我想说的，１０X１２大小合适，但ISLAND就别放了，G是个好选择。。。只是G对着breakfast area 的地方上面的柜字是不能做的（最多做个架子用来挂酒杯），如果可能把洗手池挪过来，那样可以多两个上面的柜子。

看看我家刚改好的厨房。和旧厨房比，多加了个大Island, 右边加了个储物间。过道也通畅了，个人觉得很喜欢。
第一张照片是去年刚买房时候的厨房。 改好的厨房还有些Touch ups 没做完。所有材料，包括granite台面， 橱柜等一共花费不到$7000 (不算人工和appliances).

这也是我想说的，１０X１２大小合适，但ISLAND就别放了，G是个好选择。。。只是G对着breakfast area 的地方上面的柜字是不能做的（最多做个架子用来挂酒杯），如果可能把洗手池挪过来，那样可以多两个上面的柜子。

island肯定做不了， 洗手池对着一扇窗本来就木有橱柜。
