It depends on your budget. Right now, I own a 2012 X3 28i. It is almost perfect, and good on gas. However, after april this year, X3 28i will run on a 2.0T engine like Audi Q5 2.0T. I am afraid that this engine does not have enough power. You may have to go with 35i. It will cost you $ 5000 more. X5 is bigger but much more expensive and consume more gas.
