Hi, this happened to my laptop once. The problem was the registry files weren't updated correctly. I had a friend who did his degree in Computer Science, he did a step-by-step registry file set-up for me and recovered my computer. The process only took 10 mins but I don't remember the exact steps. Maybe you can google for the procedure...
