NBCUniversal will deliver more than 5,000 hours from the London Olympics, with television coverage on NBC, NBC Sports Network, MSNBC, CNBC, Bravo, Telemundo, two specialty channels and the first-ever 3D platform, plus live streaming on NBCOlympics.com.

London will be NBC's seventh consecutive Summer Games, dating back to Seoul 1988.

Below are some details:

+ NBC will broadcast 272.5 hours over 17 days, beginning with Primetime coverage of the Opening Ceremony on July 27. Daytime coverage will begin on most weekdays at 10:00a ET/PT, immediately following the TODAY Show, which will originate from London. On weekends, NBC's Daytime shows will begin as early as 5:00a ET/PT. Primetime shows will typically air from 8:00p to 11:30p ET/PT, with a 30-minute break followed by an hour of Latenight coverage.

+ NBC Sports Network will serve as the home to U.S. "team sport" coverage, including basketball and volleyball. The cable channel will offer approximately 257.5 hours of original programming, starting with Team USA's opener vs. France in women's Soccer on Wednesday, July 25.

+ MSNBC will deliver 155.5 hours across several of the 32 sports on the London program, including Badminton, Wrestling, Table Tennis, Basketball and Soccer.

+ CNBC will showcase Boxing, with 73 hours of coverage over 16 days. Previously contested only by men, Boxing adds three weight classes for women in London.

+ Bravo is dedicated to Tennis, televising 56 hours worth of matches (July 28-August 3) from the All England Club.

+ NBCOlympics.com will provide comprehensive live streaming -- all 32 sports, all 302 events -- through a combination of host-broadcaster feeds and simul-streams of NBCU cable channels. The streaming coverage will be available online and in a dedicated mobile app, at no additional cost to authenticated cable, satellite or telco customers.

+ The most extensive Spanish-language Olympic coverage in NBCU history will feature more than 173 hours on Telemundo.

+ Specialty channels dedicated to Basketball and Soccer -- available to cable, satellite and telco providers -- will total 770 hours.

+ In a partnerhship with Panasonic, the NBC Sports Group is introducing a 3-D channel that will provide 242 hours of coverage.

对加拿大观众看美国转播的忠告:

NBC won’t show any Canadian athletes

Over the next three weeks, Canadian fans will surely grumble about a lack of exposure on American network television. A Canadian athlete might be the dominant story in London, but chances are NBC would rather show Michael Phelps walking to the pool listening to his iPod. NBC is boasting they will provide more than 5,500 hours of coverage from London, but the betting here is that only 15 minutes will be devoted to telling stories about Canadian athletes. If you want to watch Canadian athletes, simply stick to the Canadian networks. Otherwise, you’ll be subjected to countless stories about the greatness of the U.S. men’s basketball team and Mary Lou Retton flashbacks.
