Mr Nicholas Cullen MBBS BSC (Hon) FRCS (Orth)Nick Cullen was appointed as a Consultant in the Foot & Ankle unit at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Trust, Stanmore in August of 2005. The Foot & Ankle Unit at the RNOH is a tertiary referral centre, treating many of the complex foot & ankle cases that are referred from hospitals throughout the South of England.
Mr. Cullen graduated from University College and Middlesex Hospitals in 1993 and trained in hospitals in London and Cape Town before taking up his Orthopaedic Surgery rotation based at The Middlesex Hospital in London. Mr. Cullen has undertaken fellowships in the UK studying foot and ankle surgery at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore, Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge, and in Dallas, USA as part of a British Orthopaedic Foot Surgery Society travelling fellowship.
Mr. Cullen is actively involved in the training of Specialist GP's and higher surgical trainees on the London Orthopaedic rotations, he is a co-convener the renowned Stanmore Foot course, a programme that promotes foot and ankle surgery nationally. He has published a number of papers on foot and ankle surgery and he has an ongoing interest in research within the department. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgery Society, and the London Foot Group.
Mr Cullen's Practice at the Wellington Hospital deals solely with problems of the foot and ankle, his interests include sports injuries, bunion, toe deformity, arthroscopy, arthritis and tendon disorders. He works closely with the physiotherapy department, podiatrists and orthotists to provide a comprehensive, holistic service of care for a broad spectrum of foot and ankle disorders tailored to each patients needs.
