I have a lawyer friend. Whenever people ask him for free advice, he always say "my advise is as good as it costs..." by the way he didn't invent this. He said he learned from another lawyer.

So I guess what I'm saying us: it is as good as it costs ...

This is a tricky question. Just got a call from my wife who just finished $0 5-day Beijing tour by August 9th, 2012.



Based on my family's feedback, it was an actual 3-day tour. The tour agency picked them the first day and dropped them last day at the airport. The 5-star hotel is amazing. Everyday there were some shopping programs, and the tour guide never forced anyone to buy. Even considering the CAD$50 ($10 X5) tips plus $RMB500(extra cost for certain programs) cost for each person, it is still worth you to enjoy the tour.



There is no other charge at all. However you might not be able to control yourself to shop. Just for your reference.

没去过，没经验。听我一个去过的朋友的朋友说还蛮值的，看你时间重要不重要，据说是每天有半天时间带你去旅游，半天拖你去购物，不强迫你买，你可以坐在里面休息但是不让出去的，估计是吃商场的回扣的吧。如果你不在乎浪费一半的时间，可能还蛮值的。

你不如直接问旅行社吧。

I don't think it is gonna happen for foreigners. You are right if the tour is for people living in mainland.

My experience is quite positive for 5 days Beijing tour back to 2010 summer time. It is worth the money for us and had lots of fun.
