同志们 ， 形式严峻啊， 加拿大新票子上的头象因为是个亚洲女的， 就有人a focus group(What is a focus group?)抱怨然后直接拿下了。 有的死鳖还直接说 非常丑陋。 新的是个白人的样子。

A very unfortunate development.

I don't know why the Asian-looking image was originally introduced in the banknote design, as it doesn't appear that this ethnic group had any particular contribution to the discovery of insulin, or medication research in general. Actually I don't really care if multiculturalism has to be represented in this way. However, treating the design as a contentious, racial issue and replacing it with a "neutralized" look do suggest the existence of deep-rooted prejudice against visible minorities in this country.

另外的题外话：胰岛素是两个白人男人的事情。这设计从一开始就很荒谬。

再说为什么说是亚裔？就不能是加拿大土著，他们看上去和亚裔很像。一开始就有歧视，跟胰岛素啥关系。

有一个跟帖说，亚洲女性的形象应该被印在5元钱的票子上，把图中的显微镜拿走，在图中加一句： “Five dolla.. me love you long time”。请注意这里的语法。。在10元钱的钞票上，印一个东印度人在开出租车，20元钞票上，印一个印喝醉的本地印第安人，50元钞票上，是一个走在灌木丛中的托着小男孩的牧师，100元钞票上，是一群看冰球的白人。。
