Although the Association does not wish to alarm anyone, we feel it is important to alert the community about several brazen break-ins that have been occurring in Stonebridge.
As you are likely aware, there has been a persistent problem with car break-ins, whereby the thieves are helping themselves to loose change and/or
other valuables. Last week they got lucky and found the car keys in a car and took the car for a joyride.
What's more disturbing are the recent home break-ins. The thief is targeting unlocked patio doors and windows and is entering the home in the middle of the night. He is not concerned if anyone is home or not...he just lets himself in, rummages through the home and takes what he wants. This happened on the weekend on Sandgate and last week on Shadehill. More than one resident has walked downstairs to find the thief in their home.
Be cautious and do simple things like lock all your doors and windows at night and turn the alarms on if you have one. Please keep your eyes open for any suspicious behaviour in the neighbourhood and report it immediately.
