How can you be so sure about this? I have been working as a civil engineer here and all the people I got to know when doing degree at university eventually found a decent job. My company has been hunting engineers all the time.

听说当年的土木博士都进北电了。结果大家都知道了。

设计的新桥不多，但还是有，不一定很大，所以你看不着。而且所有的桥每年要做INSPECTION，如果有问题，还要加固。也不少工作呢。

There are chances in this field. It all depends on the student him/herself. If his/her english is good and there are no cummunication problems, I don't think finding a job is a problem. Finally, the university grades are very important.
