我是本科毕业到ou读硕士，在我的录取通知书里没有提到我的research topic，只是说是机械系，我后来发信问教授，他说会很快讨论我的具体方向，可是事隔一个多月我都没有收到结果，在半个月前我还借问问能不能在学校里申请住宿（office of residence 说要系里出证明我有这个资格）提醒一下他我的存在，但我没问课题的事，因怕他烦，还是没回信。在前天我实在忍不住了又发新问研究方向的事，到今天还没有他的回信。
能帮出出主意下一步该怎么办，你当时的情况是怎样的？想想我也没得罪他，怎就不理我，他的这个soon也太慢了吧？

see, you can't 怕他烦, you must make sure everything is right when you start your study. Make sure you get RA or TA from your Prof, otherwise where is you scholarship coming from then?
Professors are busy with many other stuff, they will forget you if you don't keep contact with them all the time. Let your prof know you wanna to be prepared for the new semester and start do some prerequist study by yourself, that way he should let you know how he going to assign uour research study.
