In spring, I usually wait the ground is dry and grass is green before I spread seeds. Because the seeds must touch the soil, you have to rake the lawn before spread seeds. If the ground still wet, you may rake up lot of grasses which is still OK. If you try to redo the lawn, you have to remove the existing one. Now is fine or may be prefered since the ground is wet.
But the grass would not die because of snow. They may be still good. I did not see many green lawn yet. I would wait another week or two, before make a decision.
