An earthquake rattled areas of eastern Ontario and western Quebec just after 9:30 a.m. ET Monday.
A 3.1-magnitude earthquake was reported in western Quebec Monday morning, just across the river from Hawkesbury, Ont.
Earthquakes Canada reported the quake at about 9:32 a.m. ET about 11 kilometres north of Brownsburg-Chatham, Que.
That is about a 90-minute drive from Ottawa, near the Quebec-Ontario border and close to the halfway point between Montreal and the National Capital Region.
No damage has been reported due to the earthquake.
According to Earthquakes Canada, quakes below a magnitude of five are unlikely to cause damage.
