family doctor want to send me for Breast Biopsy, can anybody help??

抱抱楼主，能理解你的紧张，医生让做就做吧，1cm，应该是小问题，你不要太过紧张。

Don't panic. It is really not a big deal.

The procedure is simple. A computer-guided device will insert a needle into the lump and get a small piece of the cells from there. You will get the biopsy result in about a week.

In the meatime, go to public library and get some books to educate youself. There are many good breast cancer or general cancer related books in the library, The more you understand about the cancer, the less you are scary about it.

Remember that breast cancer cure rate is very high. Breast cancer patients can live a long life as others

如果 Radiologist 说没事就不会有事。我有好友长了几个一公分左右的纤维瘤，医生说没事，不过要定期检查。即使手术也就是个半小时的小手术。

不要太紧张啊。

Thanks, all. I don't really want to do it, as I heard if we kept using this invasive method to test the lump, the good one may eventually become cancer, too.

楼主还是去确诊一下比较好，如果排除恶性，也可以放下心来。万一是不好的，加拿大在这种手术和术后支持上比国内先进多了。同事里好几个得过乳癌的，现在都活蹦乱跳的。他们还有术后再造，可以用上多余的脂肪做。塑身整型费用全免。所以不论结果如何，都不要怕! 但如果不去进一步查，你一直不能放下心来，倒可能会愁出病。
