To the asshole stealing from people's cars in Kanata
submitted 33 minutes ago by OTTT

F**k you.
You clearly live in the Bridlewood area and have taken it upon yourself to steal from people in your community. How does a person become a reprobate of such astounding proportions that taking the time to clear out dimes and nickels from an ash tray is an endeavour worth pursuing?
You are the sort of sad, petty person that the world would be better without. Karma is a bitch - I hope you get hit by a bus.
Again, f**k you.

Kanata car break-ins force Ottawa Police to release preventable tips

Craig Smith @1310CraigJun 19, 2013 04:16:33 PM

OTTAWA- In a short period of time in Kanata South and Bridlewood, 28 cars have been broken into and electronics and valuables have been stolen.
Ottawa Police are warning the public of the increase in thefts, but Constable Marc Soucy told 1310News it’s not unusual for the increase this time of year.
“People are out and about more or later when the weather is nicer,” Soucy explained. “People tend to leave their windows down and cars unlocked more in the summer than they do in the winter.”
According to police the thieves are walking away with smart phones, Global Positioning Devices (GPS), ipods, sunglasses, wallets, loose cash, and other valuables.
Here’s the list of tips from Ottawa Police;
Don’t leave personal identification, vehicle registration or insurance certificates, or credit cards in your vehicle.
Remove valuables and shopping bags from view. This includes loose change and electronic devices.
Never leave your vehicle running and unattended.
Always close windows securely and lock the doors.
Never leave your car keys, house keys, or garage door opener in your vehicle.
Park in well-lit areas.
Park your vehicle facing the street.
Consider motion detector lights on the outside of your house.
Report incidents to the Ottawa Police Telephone Reporting Centre (613-236-1222, ext. 7300).
Soucy says if the burglars are able to get a hold of your garage door opener they could break in to your house as well.
“It’s all too easy for these burglars to break in to your car, steal your garage door opener and if they find your permit or the ownership you’ve just given them the opportunity to break into your house.” he said.
Anyone with information regarding the 28 incidents is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service at 613-236-1222, ext. 7300, or Crime Stoppers as 613-233-8477 or toll free at 1-800-22-8477.

“ if they find your permit or the ownership you’ve just given them the opportunity to break into your house” 这句话是什么意思?

“ if they find your permit or the ownership you’ve just given them the opportunity to break into your house” 这句话是什么意思?
