Gia was in the show a couple of years ago, and had been with a hockey player prior to the show. they broke up, she moved to date Jake, who kept her until final three. Dumped her, she went on Bachelor Pad mere two or three weeks later, met Wes and professed love for him. Then back to hockey players, then this last one. None are long term nor could be. She was a very insecure young girl for a model (most are anyway). The use of the term "longterm" is very generous by the press. She had personal issues on all of the reality shows she was on, so not surprised she was the sort to do the suicide route.
