Currently google voice cannot be "llinked" nor forwarded to Canadian #. Somehow out there on the web, they say once HANGOUT starts (calling US+Can), the "FLOAT GATE is opened" (for Canadian). Anyone understand that?

Currently I use Google Voice to make free calls to US/CAN(out only, not in), occasionally borrow my friend's US gVoice# for incoming call. My next "project" is to get my own Google Voice US# . . . . with this Hangout, do I still need to get my own #?

Furthermore, will Google Voice continue to offer FREE calls to US/CAN after 2013? Is Google Voice supposed to be replaced by Hangout?

刚刚安装 Hangouts，Chrome 马上跳出来，自动加了什么什么 。 。 。 。 最后终于给自己打了一个电话，现在仍然不知道发生了什么事！可以发送免费短信(SMS) 到手机马？

加拿大可以申请一个美国号码, just a bit more complicated. 1st get a US# from Voxox.com, then run ?? to fool network that u're in US, then go to Google to get your own US# linked to your gmail a/c. Will post links for u later if u're interested.

I was asking the "advance level" - with new Hangouts, do I still need a US# for my gmail a/c?
(I've been using friend's google voice a/c)
