Ottawa could get hit with 25 cm of snow by Wednesday

OTTAWA — Skiers rejoice, drivers beware: the Ottawa region will be hit by the first major snowfall of the season Tuesday night.

City crews began bracing Tuesday morning for the first snowstorm of the season. As much as 25 centimetres of snow could fall in Ottawa by Wednesday, prompting Environment Canada to issue a warning at 5:10 a.m. for Ottawa South, Richmond, Metcalfe, Ottawa North, Kanata and Gatineau.
