各位别忘了把车的wiper竖起来, 从现在开始气温将骤降,能早回家的趁点早走。
Flash freezing of untreated surfaces as temperatures plunge quickly to well below zero this morning.
Snow, freezing rain and even some rain will continue early this morning for a few hours as temperatures sneak to near or a bit above the zero degree mark. However as the storm centre moves by, it will drag a sharp Arctic cold front across the regions this morning. Temperatures will quickly plunge to several degrees below zero shortly after the front moves through. With precipitation likely still falling in many areas as the cold air arrives, many surfaces will likely be wet as temperatures plunge below zero. As a result, untreated surfaces may quickly become icy and slippery, leading to suddenly treacherous travelling conditions.
Motorists and pedestrians alike should try to avoid travel this morning as the temperature plunges below zero if possible. This flash freeze may have significant impact on this morning's commute.
A rapidly intensifying winter storm centre from Texas has moved into Southern Quebec this morning.
Environment Canada will continue to monitor this evolving situation and update warnings accordingly.
