请教：为什么地下室的GAS壁炉在点燃后过一段时间会自动熄灭？

之前买的新房，住了有1年半了，最近发现地下室的GAS壁炉在点燃后过一段时间（有时候是2个小时）会自动熄灭，请教哪位高人能指点一二，如何检修？ 或者这个fireplace的保修期一般是多久？还可以找builder来维护吗？

不是。 在点燃壁炉后大概两个小时火就没了。墙壁上的壁炉开关还是处于打开的状态。

先问问builder., never hurt to ask. 熄火的话是不是还在漏气，这个首先要注意安全。

那自动熄火以后会不会有GAS泄露？
引管子貌似还有点复杂，还得打洞引管。还有更好的办法没？

Check the wall switch, it's microvolt switch meaning very little current going through, much lower than wetting current requirement for normal wall switch contacts. I changed wall switch couple times in the last 15 years for my gas fireplace. Sometimes, it may not start and sometime shuts itself off...etc. If you are handy enough, you can take the switch apart and polish the contacts to get it going again.

There should not be any gas leak, don't worry. The valve will only open when the temperature is high enough. The microvolt switch will shut it off if contact is open.

I made the service call with builder today, and someone will be coming to address the issue. Since it is the new house purchased 1+ years ago, it might be in warranty. 今天检查的更新：我被告知这种自动熄火的现象并不是电路引起的故障，因为如果是电路引起故障，不会在燃烧一，两个小时后才熄灭。很有可能是因为vent的问题，目测外墙的壁炉通风口与壁炉的距离不到2米，特别是这个冬天特别冷特别风大，冷空气会很容易从外墙的通风口倒灌入壁炉而引起壁炉的火焰熄灭。就这个现象，technician建议我可以尝试在外墙通风口竖两条木板，可以有效阻止冷风的直接灌入。
另外确认了在熄火情况下不会有gas leak.
最后在普及一个今天学到的小知识，虽然fireplace在3V的电压下就可以工作，但是如果停电还是会导致不能启动fireplace。所以如果你把fireplace的最下方的一块条形面板打开就应该可以看到有一个放battery的地方，也就是说准备好battery，以防万一停电的情况，就可以装上battery，一样可以启动fireplace.

我争取尽快完善室外通风口的挡风处理。如果有效，我再来更新吧。
