关于草坪的杂草和除草剂

前后院的草坪有很多杂草，想治理，但它们很顽强，看到有的家门前的草坪象地毯似的，非常羡慕。
买了两种东西：
1） SCOTTS 的 TURF BUILDER：LAWN FERTILIZER， ALL PURPOSE， 30-0-3。这个现在用晚吗？
2）WEED SEED INHIBITOR AND LAWN FERTILIZER， WITH 80% CORN GLUETEN MEAL， 8-2-4。
想撒在草坪上，但不知是否买对了，请教大家怎么使用这两样东西更好， 可同时用吗？下雨前用还是雨后用？
现在不让用KILLEX 的除草剂了，大家都用什么来对抗杂草？

could be used any time. It is a slow release so before or after rain don't matter.
2）WEED SEED INHIBITOR AND LAWN FERTILIZER， WITH 80% CORN GLUETEN MEAL， 8-2-4
It is a natural seeding inhibitor , weeds already start to grow. It is too later to use it.

There are still weed killer available (iron based) you could get them at store.
