Ottawa paramedics say 25 children and eight adults have fallen ill at a south Ottawa elementary school where a summer camp is taking place.
Paramedics have responded to St. Cecilia School at 3490 Cambrian Rd., a brand new Catholic elementary school that opened in September 2013.
Paramedics said 33 people were feeling ill and some were vomiting. The building was evacuated just in case the ventilation system is the cause.
The children were between five and 13 years old.
None of the injuries are believed to be life threatening and paramedics ruled out carbon monoxide poisoning as a cause. They are looking at the possibility of food poisoning.
The school is located between Kilbirnie Drive and Greenbank Road in the community of Barrhaven.
