Women competing in the heavy events tossed hammers up to 80 feet and beyond during the competition. The Glengarry Highland Games run Friday and Saturday in Maxville. The historic games feature everything from dancers, pipers and drummers to strongmen and women competitions amidst numerous other displays and booths.
