On Saturday, fireworks fans can check off two senses in a display that mixes the visual grandeur of pyromania with a pleasing backdrop of musical accompaniment.
The Casino du Lac-Leamy’s Sound of Light kicks off its 19th year, and a first at its new location in the Museum of History’s backyard. Organizers note it’s one of the rare spots in the downtown core where both STO and OC Transpo will travel. For 18 years, the pyrotechnic shows were on the banks of Leamy Lake.
Described by organizers as an event that “beats to the rhythm of cultures,” the night will feature food, a DJ and a multicultural dancer.
China kicks off the summer sparks for Sound of Light, with a five-evening showcase.
Since 1996, Sound of Light has seen more than 20 countries and almost two million fans.
The event starts at 6 p.m. and fireworks, synchronized to a soundtrack, should launch at 9 p.m.
