Ottawa voters can see their would-be mayors in action Tuesday night in a mayoral debate at Carleton University.
The debate begins at 6 p.m. and the Citizen’s Joanne Chianello will be blogging live from the event as it happens.
Eight people are running for the city’s top job: Bernard Couchman, Mike Maguire, Rebecca Pyrah, Michael St. Arnaud, Anwar Syed, Jim Watson, Robert White and Darren W. Wood.
The debate will be held in Residence Commons at Carleton University, 1125 Colonel By Dr.
This is actually the second mayoral debate of the campaign, although the first one in Richmond earlier this month was a decidedly one-sided affair: only one candidate, McGuire, showed up.
Mayoral candidates will square off again on Wednesday at the Ottawa Convention Centre in a debate that will focus on environmental issues.
The municipal election is Oct. 27.
