Purpose of Position The Card Assembly operator manufactures Epoc test cards using the automated print and card assembly lines.
Key Accountabilities and Major Activities
• Efficient and diligent assembly of sensor cards and/or sensor tapes according to written instructions, in a continuous automated line operation
• Performance of basic machine set-up and/or maintenance according to written instructions
• Identify process or product non-conformance and promptly alert engineering and technical support for remediation
• Attend training sessions for specific processes and procedures, and faithfully implement the training in subsequent work
• Through training sessions become familiar with corporate Standard Operating Procedures and faithfully implement the training in subsequent work
• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities by suggesting improvements to products, processes, or procedures.

Contacts
• Reports directly to the Manufacturing Shift Supervisor
• Regular interaction with Manufacturing and Development engineers and technicians
Job Challenges /Complexities:
• Repetitive, detailed nature of the card assembly process
• Able to detect very small non-conformances in shape, size, colour, etc. for prolonged periods of time
• Shift work – 12 hour day and/or overnight shifts as scheduled
Qualifications Requirements: Education
• High school or College diploma
Assets: Technical Skills / Business Knowledge• 1 to 5 years of electronic or mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while satisfying personal responsibilities
• Demonstration of successful on-the-job training
