Ottawa – It’s Winter in the City and there’s a lot to do in and around Ottawa. But, winter is winding down.

Due to warm and wet weather, the status of Ottawa’s refrigerated outdoor skating rinks change from day to day. Check ottawa.ca to be sure. The skiing season is over at Mooney’s Bay Park (Terry Fox Athletic Facility) and the City’s approved sledding hills are closed.

It’s not too late to go for a skate at a City recreation facility or sign up for a course. Public skating sessions remain free at City facilities on weekends until March 27, compliments of RBC Royal Bank.

Join the excitement at a Senators game or at Lansdowne with the Ottawa 67’s as both teams reach for the playoffs. Celebrate the arts at Centrepointe Theatres and Shenkman Arts Centre, or discover the past at a City museum or the Ottawa Archives.

City Hall is a great place to visit this season with the Karsh-Masson Gallery, Barbara Ann Scott Gallery and the Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame.

Be sure to check out Winter in the City to keep up-to-date on what’s happening around town.
