Calypso and construction. Must be summer in Ottawa.
It’s finally starting to feel like it with Wednesday’s Environment Canada forecast of fog giving way to sunshine and a high of 25 C with a humidex reading of 27.
Break out the sunscreen for a UV index of 8 or very high and swap out the brollies for bathing suits – Calypso Waterpark in Limoges opens for the season Wednesday.
It seems impossible after this cold, wet spring but we may soon want to cool off with Ottawa temperatures nudging 30 C by the weekend.
Calypso is opening tomorrow June 7th!!!! And YES, the sun will be shining!!!! So come on and join the fun!… https://t.co/2tTqtHwhvC

But a heads up for capital residents thinking of cooling off at municipal beaches: Lifeguards won’t be on duty at Westboro, Britannia and Mooney’s Bay beaches until June 17.
The hot and sunny forecast has brought some inspiration to tweeters.
What's this bright shiny orb in the sky?
It's giving so much heat I no longer feel cold.
We could use some more of this, please.#ottweather
