As kids head back to school to learn the three R’s, thankfully one is missing – it’s a rain-free forecast, at least for Tuesday.

Then there’s a risk of showers every day ahead of a sunny weekend.

The forecast for Tuesday, the first day of school for many kids in the capital, is a mix of sun and clouds with a high of 21 C and low of 12 C.

Environment Canada predicts that Wednesday will be a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 per cent chance of late afternoon or nighttime showers, a high of 21 C and a low of 12 C.

Thursday is a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 per cent chance of showers for afternoon and night, a high of 19 C and low of 10 C.

Friday is a mix of sun and cloud, a 30 per cent chance of daytime showers, a high of just 15 C and low of 9 C.

The weekend forecast is glorious – pure sunshine with highs of 18 C Saturday and 21 C Sunday.

Monday is even better with sunshine and 24 C in the forecast.
