Talk about freaky Friday weather.

From a balmy morning, we’re headed to a forecast frosty afternoon with frigid winds and likely flurries.

The early-morning temperature was 3 C and it was 1 C by 7 a.m.

The forecast is -4 C by afternoon with a 60 per cent chance of flurries and northwest winds at 30 km/h. Skies clear by evening and winds drop off as the mercury plunges to -13 C.

For Saturday, expect mainly sunny skies with increasing cloudiness near noon, a high of -3 C and a low of -6 C with a 30 per cent chance of overnight flurries.

Sunday’s forecast is for a mix of sun and cloud, a high of 2 C and a low of -8 C.

Then it gets even milder, with clouds, a 40 per cent of rain or snow and a high of 4 C Monday and a low of 0C.

Tuesday is 7 C with a 60 per cent chance of rain by day and rain or snow by night with a low of 0 C.

For Wednesday, there’s a 40 per cent chance of flurries or rain showers and a high of 1 C before a cold front rolls in bringing an overnight low of -12 C.

The sun is forecast to return Thursday with mixed skies and a high of -3 C.
