Quebec’s health and safety agency is investigating after a workplace accident in which a man lost consciousness after being hit by a falling wooden beam.
Outaouais police responded to 7 chemin du Progrès in La Pêche around 1 p.m. Wednesday when a 34-year-old Cantley man called 911 after being hit by a beam. The man was moving the beams by himself when one fell on his head. He lost consciousness, then phoned for help when he came to.
The man was taken to Hull hospital in serious but stable condition.
