A Meals-on-Wheels volunteer has taken to social media to get her flashy delivery unit back.

Denise Inglis uses an Easter-egg purple trailer to deliver meals to seniors and adults with disabilities but it vanished from the shed at the Good Companions Centre on Albert Street where she starts her route.

“My husband custom built it for me,” she said on Twitter. “Turned an old Chariot into a Meals on 2 Wheels delivery trailer that kept the meals safe and warm!

“Let me know if you spot it,” she said. “It’s bright purple!”

The trailer is MIA during this year’s March for Meals Campaign, which sees community champions including Sen. Vern White and restaurateur Moe Atalla delivering food alongside volunteers.

It runs through Friday to highlight the “vital service” that helps recipients stay in their own homes thanks to a healthful meal and a visit from a volunteer who’s a friendly face and a security check.
