Ottawa Capital Pride is looking for “engaged youth” between the ages of 15 and 25 to help form a new youth advisory committee.
The organization says the new committee will help provide knowledge and guidance on policies affecting LGBTQ2+ youth.
According to Capital Pride on Monday, the committee will give members an opportunity to “develop their own ideas and help with the mission of advocacy and public education.”
The committee also may have the opportunity to counsel the festival’s director and youth coordinator “in their event planning process and implementation to better serve the community,” said Capital Pride.
Applications are available on the Ottawa Capital Pride website, and remain open until April 3. Applicants must live in the Ottawa-Gatineau region.
