Police continued to crack down Tuesday on illegal traffic using Rideau Street, after giving out 27 tickets to motorists on Monday.
Light-rail construction has closed Rideau Street to most traffic between Sussex Drive and Dalhousie Street. The entrance to the closed areas are marked with signs.
While regular traffic cannot access the section of street, it is open to OC Transpo, STO buses, delivery vehicles and taxis.
The LRT is scheduled to open in November, and the street is expected to re-open to all vehicle traffic at that time.
The results for the illegal traffic using Rideau against the posted signs. 27 Charges laid. Back again tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/Xilp6ocYqm
