The Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is investigating allegations that two young men bludgeoned a pigeon to death with a guitar in the Mooney’s Bay area last month.
It was reported that two young men were spotted beating the pigeon between 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. on March 9 in front of 740 Springland Drive.
They are described as white, 16 to 18 years old, about six feet tall and 150 to 170 pounds and with dark hair. One wore a white construction hard hat and a plain white T-shirt.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Ontario SPCA’s province-wide animal cruelty hotline at 310-7722 or email cruelty@ospca.on.ca.
“We want to find the people responsible for this heinous crime,” Senior Insp. Lynn Michaud said.
