Police say they have concluded there is no danger at a Gatineau high school after investigating a witness’ report of threats to the institution.
Officers remained on the scene Wednesday morning and said charges may be laid.
Gatineau police would say little about the nature of the threat that drew them to l’école polyvalente de l’Érablière on Rue de Cannes near Boulevard La Vérendrye Ouest before school began, other than the threat was reported by a third party.
They aimed to be visible and secure the premises while investigators talked to the people involved, police said.
By late morning, the police presence was “minimal” but the investigation continues to see if charges will be laid.
