Provincial police are seeking witnesses in a road rage incident in Renfrew after one driver allegedly pulled a knife on another.

Ontario Provincial Police said Thursday that a person called around 11 a.m. on April 8, alleging that a man had pulled a knife on him or her following a “driving incident” near the Tim Hortons on the corner of Froats Street and O’Brien Road.

The two cars – a blue 1998 Honda CRV and a black 2015 Hyundai Elantra – then drove down O’Brien Road through the Walmart parking lot before stopping at Canadian Tire.

Dion Cruise, 32, was arrested in the parking lot and charged with dangerous driving, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats, possession of unmarked cigarettes, cocaine, marijuana, OxyContin and possession of amphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

Cruise was released from custody and scheduled to appear in court on May 2.

Police are asking anyone with more information to come forward.
