Travellers, plane-spotters and anyone else in the vicinity of the Ottawa International Airport this week may notice some extra excitement around the airfield.
The airport is expected to conduct a training exercise from Monday to Friday, according to officials, which will feature emergency vehicles responding to a mock crisis.
“Don’t be alarmed,” the airport’s official Twitter feed announced Monday morning. The exercise is also expected to feature some pyrotechnics, with airport officials warning that people in the area may see “flames and smoke.”
There will be a training exercise on the airfield April 30-May 4. Don’t be alarmed if you see flames, smoke, emergency vehicles / Un exercice de formation avec des flammes, de la fumée, des véhicules d'urgence aura lieu sur l'aérodrome du 30 avril au 4 mai #OttVille #YOW #OttCity pic.twitter.com/vdcEGK75Ze
