The City of Ottawa wants your input on the projects, policies, programs and services that affect your daily life. From open houses to workshops and online consultations, your feedback helps to shape City decisions.

The following opportunities are available next week:

Tuesday, May 15
Open House: Arts Court Public Art
4 to 7 pm
Arts Court Theatre, 2 Daly Avenue

  • Five artists have been shortlisted to create detailed designs of their creative public art concepts for exterior spaces at the Arts Court facility as part of the Ottawa Art Gallery Expansion and Arts Court Redevelopment Project. The public is invited to meet the artists, view the proposals and record their comments.

Thursday, May 17
Open House: Brian Coburn Extension/Cumberland Transitway Westerly Alternate Corridor Study
6 to 9 pm
Rendez-vous des aînés francophones d’Ottawa, 3349 Navan Road, Orleans

  • The City is conducting an Environmental Assessment (EA) study to develop an alternate plan for both the Brian Coburn Boulevard Extension and the Cumberland Transitway west of Navan Road. The Open House will provide information on the study process, existing conditions and preliminary options.

Information Session for Parents to Learn about Cannabis (in French)

  • The Conseil des écoles publiques de l'Est de l'Ontario and the Conseil des écoles catholiques du Centre-Est, in conjunction with Ottawa Public Health (OPH), are hosting information sessions for parents to learn about cannabis, tackle the myths, what is known about the upcoming new laws, how to have that talk with your youth, protecting youth and available services. Representatives from OPH, Ottawa Police and the School Board will be available to answer questions.

The following consultations are also available next week:

  • Older Adult Plan 2019-2022: The City is planning for its third Older Adult Plan. Please fill out the online survey to tell us what you think is important for older adults living in Ottawa. You have until May 20 to respond to the survey.
  • Maitland Avenue/Highway 417 Bridge Cycling Improvements: A report has been prepared to document the planning and design process and the recommended plan to incorporate cycling infrastructure on the bridge. The report is available for review until June 7.
