The Ontario Provincial Police tweeted at 8:16 p.m. Saturday that Highway 416 was closed in both directions between Roger Stevens Drive and Brophy Drive due to a multi-vehicle collision.
Police were on scene, but no other details were immediately available.
The Ottawa Paramedic Service reported minutes later that it was on the scene of a “significant collision” with up to seven patients at 416 and Brophy.
