Bill C-45, the Cannabis Act, will be given the 3rd reading in the Senate on June 7, 2018. Four other Senate committees along with the Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology have completed the study of aspects of the bill and reported back to the Senate with amendmens. The Bill C-45 Focus Group has been voluntarily launched by city councilors, journalists, priests, industry professionals and other volunteers with the aim to influence the delay of legalization of the bill and the formulation of indisputable bill. The members once participated in the Senate hearing on the bill or initiated the lobbying in the parliament to postpone the legalization process with some success.
