City to open storefront to engage with public about Sparks Street

Mayor Jim Watson will be joined by Councillor Catherine McKenney, Nathalie Laliberté, Director General of Public Services and Procurement Canada’s Parliamentary Precinct Branch, on behalf of the Honourable Carla Qualtrough, Minister of Public Services and Procurement, and Dr. Mark Kristmanson, CEO of the National Capital Commission, for the opening of a storefront at 79 Sparks Street to engage with users of the Sparks Street pedestrian mall regarding its Public Realm Plan.

The event will include a guided walking tour of three pilot projects that aim to improve the pedestrian experience on Sparks Street. The walking tour will be five blocks roundtrip.

Parking is not available on Sparks Street.
