Introduce Alexander, CPC (联邦保守党)candidate for Carleton - Kanata riding:
My involvement in working with Member of Parliament David Yurdiga solidified the positive ideals for a low-tax agenda and a balanced budget plan. Primarily, my experience in Parliament has taught me the significance of standing up for my community and unchangeably advocating for them.
Born in Ottawa and raised in Kanata, my parents, who immigrated from Nicaragua, showed me the endless benefits of their hard-work, perseverance and community involvement. Inspired by their achievements and compassion for our city, I dedicated my time to pursue a degree in Law and Psychology. Furthermore, I continued my volunteering at CityKidz which is a non-profit organization driven to help our youth and children build a brighter future.
Over the years I have kept myself involved by organizing and volunteering in multiple outreach missions in our city. During these outreach opportunities some of the many accomplishments included raising funds for the less fortunate and helping feed those in need in our city. With my duties, came both short and long term responsibilities which I still proudly maintain today.
Every step I have taken has led me to my passion of utilizing politics as a positive tool to help communities and my current profession as a communications director at a Non-profit organization, where our primary goal is to listen and help both our local and international followers.
With this knowledge and experience, I want to listen, advocate and positively affect my Kanata-Carleton riding.
