If you're a candidate in the 2018 Municipal Election, consider reading and including our platform in your policies.
OUR PROJECTS
The NowWhat?! Ottawa team has worked to put together our ideal municipal platform.
Our aim with this document was to put together an inclusive platform which centres the gendered experiences of women; including trans women, Two Spirit, intersex, and non-binary or gender non-conforming folks. We also recognize that gendered violence is experienced more by Black, Indigenous, people of colour (BIPOC), folks with disabilities, or folks with other intersecting oppressions. Each of these gender identities experience unique oppressions, but all root from the same issue: patriarchy.
If you feel that we need to include something to be more inclusive, please let us know. We want to keep this conversation going, and we believe that it is only by coming together that we make our city great
