如何选择专业 请大家给点建议

McMaster 的Health Science 和 U of T的Engineering Science ，完全不同的职业方向，周末是最后截止日期，怎么选择呢？

恭喜！两个不同的方向，看孩子的意愿吧。 ES选择多，基本是科技方向，也可以搞金融。HS就是医学方向，上不了医学院得有plan B。

谢谢回复，就是因为McMaster的HS据说有更多的进入医学院的机会，所以才难选择，学医只有一条道跑到黑

上不了医学院可以考眼科、牙科、药学院、理疗、法学院、research （医学研究）、进政府。

如果想学医，必须做好吃苦受累、奉献社会的准备，漫漫长路很艰苦。McMaster HS的医学院录取率（应届生）大概是50%，据说加上往届生有70%的机会。关键是孩子想做医生吗？不要多想医生收入稳定，孩子有这样的实力，到哪里都会有稳定丰厚的收入。孩子的兴趣是关键，这是支撑TA坚持下去的动力。

让人操心的就是孩子没有很明确的倾向，到现在还是哪个专业都行的态度，做家长的也不能代孩子选择，只能耐心等到last minute自己做决定

The Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) Program has a unique interdisciplinary approach to the study of health, wellness and illness. It offers students an understanding of health from biological, behavioural and population-based perspectives, through the integration of foundation and applied sciences.

Health Sciences is the only program in Ontario that draws on the full range of departments within health sciences, including clinical departments of medicine, pathology and molecular medicine, psychiatry and behavioural neurosciences, clinical epidemiology and biostatistics. Exposure to health care practitioners and applied researchers will lend relevance and scope to the foundation sciences through class instruction, which will form the basis of the students’ experiences.

Engineering Science is separate from the other Engineering programs at the University of Toronto. The Engineering Science program has a unique “2+2” curriculum structure, namely a 2-year foundation curriculum followed by a 2-year specialization curriculum. In the first two years, students develop a strong foundation in both engineering and science. Students then select one of eight Majors (Aerospace, Biomedical Systems, Electrical & Computer, Energy Systems, Infrastructure, Mathematics, Statistics & Finance, Physics or Robotics) to focus on in their final two years.

McMaster 的Health Science好混，不喜欢踢人，分数给的好，你好我好大家好，毕业木问题。如果不幸成为剩下的20，30%，就是谁都不好了。
U of T的Engineering Science不好混，多大理工科教授喜欢踢人，分数压得低，你不好我也不好大家都不好。一旦混毕业了就是大家都好了。
